Transducers mounted on sample

In addition to the standard measuring devices typically required in a soil mechanics laboratory, advanced electronic measurement is also available; in particular for triaxial test, dedicated sensors for measuring local strain deformation directly on the sample (on sample transducers) as well as the maximum Shear Modulus (Gmax) of soil samples in order to evaluate their stiffness (Bender Elements) are presented in this section.
